We appreciate your interest in renting our historic facility. This wonderful building thrives on being used and enjoyed. Events, such as weddings, recitals, reunions, talent shows, holiday services, educational programs, and even funerals, allow present and future generations to experience the beauty of this special place. Rentals also provide funds for essential maintenance and upgrades. We welcome you to "the little white church."
Our fees and policies are as follows:
NOTE: In order to keep an accurate calendar of reservations, all deposits and payments related to rentals must be made by check, cash or money order.

Rentals of the First Christian Memorial are $200 per day for non-wedding events. Your rental includes access to the sanctuary, kitchen, and fellowship hall.
For weddings, the rate is $250 for the sanctuary for the first day, and $100 for additional days. To use the entire facility for weddings, the rate is $300 for the first day, and $150 for additional days. "Entire facility" includes the kitchen, fellowship hall, and some, or all, of the classrooms upstairs. The fellowship hall is often used for the rehearsal dinner, while the classrooms can become staging and robing rooms. Many people find it convenient to rent the building multiple days, especially for weddings. By renting it for two or three days, they can decorate in advance and remove decorations later, when everyone is rested. We only ask that you clean up the building after the event and don't damage the property or its contents.
For ALL rentals, there is a $200 deposit, which is refundable after a board member inspects the building and confirms that all rules have been followed. Due to the religious heritage of the building, it is understood that alcohol cannot be served at the Memorial facility. Some renters hold part of their event at the Memorial, and continue at the nearby Senior Citizens Center, which allows alcohol (and dancing). We can facilitate communication, if you desire its contact information.
Rentals must be scheduled through the Board Secretary, who keeps the Reservations Calendar. Please contact our current Board Secretary, Cleo Chavis, by email at forgvnlru@aol.com. Reservations are confirmed when full payment is received. We accept cash, checks, and money orders for rentals, but not credit cards or other forms of electronic payment. Should your event be cancelled, your pre-payment is fully refundable, if the reservation is cancelled at least 30 days in advance of the event. A $30.00 fee will be charge for all checks returned for non-sufficient funds.
We sometimes get requests for use of the building for funerals, especially from former members when it was an active church. While there is no set charge for funerals or memorial services, a donation of $100 or more is appreciated to cover the cost of the gas and electricity used.
